Dr. Donna Manderino
Dr. Donna Manderino was born and raised in Bergen County. She received her BS in Animal Science from Cook College, Rutgers University. Following her undergraduate degree, she attended Cornell University and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. To this day, she remains active in Cornell University Alumni programs. After graduation, she went on to complete her internship in surgery and medicine at Oradell Animal Hospital. Dr. Manderino remained on their staff from 1984-1991, and then purchased PRAH from Dr. Mikus. During that time, she was one of the few veterinarians in New Jersey who was certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Companion Animal Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Manderino was on the NJVMA State Board, was a Northern NJ Representative to the VMA, and was also involved with organizations that support breast cancer research. After September 11th, Dr. Manderino volunteered her time and expertise tending to injured service dogs at Ground Zero.
Nowadays, Dr. Manderino is actively involved with Tails of Hope Foundation an organization that supports working dog initiatives, and their Finding One Another program. She also supports the Youth Ambassador Program, which mentors children interested in pursuing a career with working dogs. She assists these organizations by raising funds, supplies, and awareness for military dogs, and provides care to search and rescue dogs, and all other types of service dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, fine dining, racehorses, and keeping current on veterinary issues. She resides in Bergen County with her husband, Louis.
Dr. Tracy De Meola
Dr. De Meola received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Long Island University Southampton College and then went on to Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine for her DVM. Next, she completed an internship in medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. For the next five years, she worked at a small animal practice in Manhattan’s East Village.
She currently lives in New Jersey with her husband, son, and daughter. They also share their home with her Lilac Point Birman cat named Shanny. Dr. De Meola enjoys knitting, reading, traveling, and photography in her spare time.
Dr. Nancy Shaw
Dr. Shaw graduated from Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. She completed a small animal medicine and surgical internship at Oradell Animal Hospital and has been practicing veterinary medicine in New Jersey since. Dr. Shaw enjoys getting to know the clients and patients and believes in practicing family medicine; she loves general practice for that reason! A firm believer in the One Health Initiative, she understands the relationship between animal and human health. Dr. Shaw founded the Newark Community Healthy Pet Clinic which provides routine preventative veterinary care to the Newark community at no charge.
