Making Safety A Priority in Every Pet Surgery
Your pet’s comfort and safety are our top priorities with every procedure. We aim to minimize risks, reduce discomfort, and pave the way for a smooth recovery process. How do we do it? With a passion for pets coupled with advanced veterinary medicine. Steps we take to ensure your pet’s safety include:
- Pre-anesthetic blood work and exam
- Pre-operative electrocardiogram and X-rays (for pets 7 years or older)
- Anesthetic protocol tailored to your pet’s breed, age, and weight
- IV fluids to maintain hydration and stabilize blood pressure

Post-Operative Care & Recovery
To help your pet recover faster, we offer laser therapy, which helps the tissues heal faster and reduces inflammation and pain. Additionally, we’ll send you home with appropriate pain medications to help your pet stay comfortable during their recovery. With any surgery, it’s important that your pet has a safe, comfortable location in which to recover.
Their crate or a pet-safe room are both good options. If you have other pets, keep them separated for at least the first 24 hours as your pet recovers from the anesthesia. After that, monitor your pet’s activity and keep them from running or jumping for at least the first 10 days to prevent any tears or injuries to the area of operation.
